Our creation.

The official launch of the Observatoire de la Francophonie économique (OFÉ) took place during the Montreal Conference - International Forum of the Americas, on June 14, 2017, in the presence of representatives of the Université de Montréal and OFÉ's partners: the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec, the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

Our mission.

The OFÉ of the Université de Montréal was created in June 2017 in partnership with the Government of Quebec, the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). Its mission is to become a leading resource on issues related to the economic Francophonie and, therefore, a world-class centre for studies, research, liaison and transfer activities on the economic Francophonie, with a strong interest in developing countries, particularly in Africa.

Our platform.

The Observatory works to provide its members, partners and interested researchers with an integrated set of macroeconomic and microeconomic data dedicated to the analysis of economic issues in the Francophone world..
